Hello and welcome to my blog. I have just completed my project for this weeks Global Design Project 'Sketch Challenge' #gdp042 and it was so fun to make. Check out the GDP schedule so you can play along too.
Here is the Sketch by Teneale Williams...

And here is my creation...

A sweet peach, fussy cut from the gorgeous 'Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper' sitting on top of 'Pear Pizzazz' & 'Peakaboo Peach' cardstock circles with a touch of 'Burlap Ribbon' and 'Linen Thread' to finish.

I love the 'Fruit Stand' DSP, and the coordinating 'Fruit Stand A4 Cardstock' pack in 3 coordinating colours: Pear Pizzazz, Peakaboo Peach & Watermelon Wonder.

A close up of the Gold heat embossed banner on Vellum, and the 'Happy Birthday!' greeting is from the cutest stampset ever, 'Fairy Celebration'.

Thankyou for visiting and I hope you enjoyed my post for this weeks GDP Challenge. I have a few more 'Fruit Stand' creations in the making so be sure to Subscribe to my blog so you don't miss my posts. You are most welcome to leave me a comment - I love hearing from you. D x

Envelope Punch Board Gift Box - Colour Challenge #gdp041

| on
14:47

Hello, and welcome to my blog. I have been creating some bits and pieces for this weeks Colour Challenge for the Global Design Project #gdp041. And here are the colours we are using this week:

I find with a Colour Challenge that less is more, and I usually create a 3D item. I wanted to make a Gift Box for a Birthday present, and using the 'Envelope Punch Board' this is my creation for this week:

A tiny gift box made from 'Sweet Sugarplum' cardstock. The top part is sitting on a belly band that slips off to reveal the envelope opening at the back.

Measurements for the box:
Cardstock: 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
First punch: 2 1/4" and score
Second punch: 3" and score

A close-up of the 'Bow Builder' - using the Die cut from the 'Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits Die' to cover the 'Sweet Sugarplum' bow. It reminds me of Lilac Wedgewood.

The notecards are 6.5cm x 6.5cm (2 9/16" x 2 9/16") and also made using the 'Sweet Sugarplum' cardstock, and a 'Whisper White' mat. (They fit inside the Gift Box perfectly.)
I adhered the Whisper White 'Bloomin' Hearts Die' cut to the punched images; 'Sweetheart', 'Elegant Butterfly' & 'Pansy'. I then re-punched the images to cut the overlay of the die. And finishing off with sweet sentiments from the 'Fairy Celebration' stampset. These punched images still remind me of Lilac Wedgewood!

Thankyou for taking the time to visit. You are more than welcome to leave me a comment. I love hearing from you! D x

The Owl & The Pussycat - 'Road Trip' Challenge #tgifc60

| on
19:44
TGIF Challenges #tgifc60 have decided to have a Challenge about Travels & Adventures. Have I got something for you...

Now, this is a bit of an outside the square style of creation. However, I have created similar projects based on Classic Movies; 'The Wizard of Oz' & '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' or 'Nursery Rhymes' - and when I get something in my mind I will do everything; literally beg, borrow (maybe not steal!) but ask my friends to help me out with stampsets, punches, dies I don't have in my stash (yet).

Seriously? How cute are these little love bird/cat going to sea in their beautiful Pea Green Boat? And their honey & money, the moon and the stars - setting sail for a year and a day??? You know the poem, right?

This little creation has been in my mind, like forever, and I love how it has turned out. I had originally made a DSP Paper Boat, but it was too bulky for a card front. (I shall keep it for another idea I have!) The 'Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush' has worked it's magic on the Vellum Moon, Stars and water.

Both the 'Owl Builder' and 'Fox Builder Punch' are side-by-side in the Annual Catalogue, and this is where my idea for the 'Owl & The Pussycat' came to fruition.

The 'Foxy Friends Photopolymer Bundle' is the cutest Stamp set and Punch Bundle going. It was the very first thing on my Wish List when I first opened the 'Annual Catalogue' at OnStage 2016 in Sydney in April.
Mind you, my order is still on it's way and much love to Louise for lending me her very own Foxy Bundle for me to use, and to Karen for stamping the Honey Pot - which was the best last minute addition.

Thankyou for taking the time to get this far! I hope you have enjoyed my 'Owl & The Pussycat' creation for this weeks TGIFC, and I hope you get a chance to play along too? D x

Cottage Greetings & Rose Garden Thinlits - Case The Designer #gdp040

| on
10:41
Hi, and welcome to my blog. I have been time poor this week, however have had bits and pieces of time to create for this weeks  Global Design Project #gdp040 'Case the Designer'. This weeks Designer is Shawn De Oliveira, and here is Shawn's gorgeous creation to be CASEd!
And this is my 'Copy And Selectively Edited' creation... It's kind of the same, but different.

I have used the same layout, and similar colours to Shawn.
Shawn used In Colours 2014-2016; Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon & Mossy Meadow with Sahara Sand card base.
I have used colours from the Brights Collection; Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive with Crumb Cake for the card base. And finishing with the Happy Birthday sentiment from the 'Cottage Greetings' stampset and the divine 'Bermuda Bay Thick Baker's Twine'. Divine!

I watercoloured onto Shimmery White cardstock using Bermuda Bay ink (from the lid of my Stampin' Pad) and an Aqua Painter. The Shimmery White is a lovely base to watercolour, leave to fully dry before completing your project.
I die cut the small flower and leaves from the 'Rose Garden Thinlits Dies'. I cut down one of the flowers to make the little bloom, and removed one petal from another flower to make a slightly smaller flower. I daubed around the edges of all the die cuts which gives them a little bit of dimension.

Thankyou for popping in for a visit, and I hope you have enjoyed my blog post? Have yourself a lovely weekend. D x

'Get Well Soon' for this weeks Global Design Project #gdp039 'Theme Challenge'.

http://www.global-design-project.com/2016/06/global-design-project-039-theme.html

It's that time of year when there are some sniffles and sneezes going around. And this is what I made for my 'Get Well Soon' creation:

A 'Get Well Care Package' packed with all things to make someone feel a little bit better. I love the box!; it is so easy to make and it's made using the 'Gift Bag Punch Board'. I have also used the NEW 'Dapper Denim' with 'Cucumber Crush'. Fresh and happy colours.
Click here for the 'Lidded Boxes' video tutorial by Artisan Design Team Member, Valerie Moody.

I have filled the box with Comfort goodies; Chicken Noodle soup mix, Cold & Flu tablets, Throat Lozenges, Lip Balm, Green Tea and some chocolate treats. I know I would feel better if someone gave this to me if I was unwell. *Products shown are examples only.

A little peek inside the 'Get Well Care Package'.

Thankyou for visiting my blog, and I hope you get the chance to make a Lidded Box? I'd love to see some of your creations!
There is still time to make your own 'Get Well Soon' projects for #gdp039 - click here for the Schedule.
Have a wonderful weekend. D x

Creation Station - Project Kits

| on
00:00
It's the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop for June, and we will be showing you some gorgeous NEW products from the gorgeous NEW Annual Catalogue that launched 1st June, 2016. A huge welcome to you if you have hopped from Nicole's blog or back from Cindy - their creations are amazing!!! As always.

I love the 'Project Kits' and 'All Inclusive Kits' in the NEW Catalogue, and this year Stampin' Up! have provided some beautiful Kits for all occasions.
My very favourite is the 'Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit', and the colour combinations are so pretty! This Project Kit is a simple solution to get you going, as everything you need to create the projects are in the kit to make 16 packaging solutions. There are a couple of the 'NEW In Colours 2016-2018' making their debut with this kit; 'Emerald Envy & Peekaboo Peach'!

I have made up 1 of each of the Gift Boxes & Bags (omitting the handles on the large gift bag). How lovely to give a gift in your very own handmade Gift Box or Bag? Don't they look beautiful all sitting together?, and the gold accents from the sequins, circle banner & clips make these projects look super special!

A closer look at the bits & pieces included in the 'Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit':
Instruction sheet!, 4 Kraft bags (8.3 x 17.7cm), 4 cellophane bags (7.6 x 15.2cm), 4 clear acetate boxes with gold foil (5.1 x 5.1 x 5.1cm), 4 black & white striped cardstock boxes & acetate sleeves (7.6 x 7.6 x 7.6cm), die-cut cardstock image sheets, Designer Series Paper, Baker's Twine, labels, stickers, sequins and cotton paper trim, gold clips & mini clothespins.

The 'Perfectly Wrapped' stampset is sold separately to the Project Kit. You can make your own gift tags and cards using this gorgeous stamp set, and I can't wait to get cracking and create some more.
And you will also need some coordinating Stampin' Pads to stamp with. The colours are: Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad, Emerald Envy, Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach & Tangerine Tango.

Here is the YouTube 'Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit' by Stampin' Up! Click on the video to watch and see how to create your own cute gift boxes and bags. It's definitely worth a watch.

Thankyou so much for visiting me. Please keep hopping to see all the girls blogs and their fabulous creations; click on the NEXT & BACK buttons below. Oh, and I love comments too.
Stay safe and happy creating. D x

Love You Lots - Sketch Challenge Global Design Project #gdp038

Welcome to my blog, and this weeks Global Design Project 'Sketch Challenge' #gdp038. Teneale Williams has designed this sketch, and there are endless possibilities for creating something fabulous! Make sure you go to the GDP blog and check out the Design Teams creations. Lots of inspiration using lots of NEW Annual Catalogue Products.
My creation using a NEW Hostess stamp set; 'Love You Lots'.
How cute are the ladybugs???
I have also used a couple of retired products. I know, I know... I just had to, and I think they are a perfect fit for my creation. I had to use them just one more time before I can order EVERYTHING from the NEW Annual Catalogue.
The 'Love Bug' sentiment comes from the retired 'Beautiful Ride' stampset, and the Designer Series Paper is also now retired - 'Everyday Chic DSP'.

I fussy cut a second set of wings and made them 3D by using a stylus underneath, then adhered them onto the original fussy cut ladybugs. They look a little bit real!

So, do you want to know how to earn this super cute stamp set?
Earn *Stampin' Rewards when your Merchandise Subtotal reaches $250.00! Click here for *Stampin' Rewards information.
You can order online, call me, email me or message me.
It's that simple.
Why not Book a Party with your friends? It's a whole lot of fun... and for this month you get $50 in extra Stampin' Rewards when you host a Stamping Event with $450 or more in orders.

Thankyou for being here, and I hope you get the chance to play along with this weeks GDP 'Sketch Challenge' #gdp038 - click here for the Schedule. Have a great week, and enjoy the NEW catalogue!
